Privacy Policy

Protein Bros is a supplement review site run from Toronto, Ontario. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. We've tried to write it in plain language rather than legalese.
The short version: your quiz answers never leave your browser. We use one advertising tracker, and only if you agree to it. We earn commission when you buy through our Amazon links, which costs you nothing extra.

We want to be specific about the quiz, because it's the part people assume is worst: the questions about your diet, your sex and your health conditions are answered by JavaScript running on your own device. Those answers are never transmitted to us, never stored, and never linked to you. We could not tell you what any individual answered even if we wanted to.
Cookies and tracking
We use the Meta Pixel, a tracking tool from Meta Platforms that tells us how our Facebook and Instagram ads perform and lets us show ads to people who've visited the site. It sets cookies and reports your visit to Meta, including your IP address and, if you're signed in to Facebook, your account identity.
The pixel does not load until you accept it. If you decline, or ignore the banner, it never runs. You can change your mind at any time using the link at the bottom of any page.
We do not use Google Analytics or any other analytics tool. We set no cookies of our own beyond remembering your choice about the pixel, which is stored in your browser and not sent anywhere.
Amazon affiliate links
Every product link on this site goes to Amazon.ca and carries our Amazon Associates tag. If you buy something after clicking through, Amazon pays us a small commission at no extra cost to you. Amazon may set its own cookies when you arrive; that's governed by Amazon's privacy notice, not ours.
Commission does not influence our rankings. No brand pays us for placement.
Your rights
Under Canada's PIPEDA and Quebec's Law 25, you can:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you, and get a copy
- Ask us to correct anything inaccurate
- Ask us to delete it
- Withdraw consent for tracking at any time, without giving a reason
- Complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or the Commission d'accès à l'information if you're in Quebec
Email hello@proteinbros.ca and we'll respond within 30 days. Since we hold almost nothing, most requests are quick to answer.
Children
This site is not aimed at anyone under 16, and we don't knowingly collect information from children. Supplement decisions for a young person should involve a doctor.
Health information
The quiz asks about medications and health conditions so it can adjust what it recommends and warn you about interactions. Because those answers stay on your device, we never receive them. Nothing on this site is medical advice, and none of it substitutes for your doctor or pharmacist.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, such as adding a new tracker, we'll ask for your consent again rather than assume it.
